If the pool party sounds a bit to Sex and the City for you, go check out Austin Citysearch's Happiest of Happy Hours (RSVP). First round of drinks is on Citysearch and there will tons of extra delicious free food. Also there is a wine tasting at Annie's Cafe & Bar Austin Wine Merchant that you can easily follow with a trip to Whole Foods Cheese Please and get your wino on to a new level.

Thursday, Jul 8: Toy Joy is hosting their art show with sweet treats galore! Cupckaes, Popsicles, root beer floats and more! also there will be tons of great art to look at and free art things to participate in. If you are a kid at heart like me this is a dream evening. After you can go check out some more "adult" friendly art at the opening of Faith Gay & Raymond Uhlir exhibits at D Berman Gallery. Or you can just hang down town and then stumble into Barbarell for some Motown tunes at Grits and Gravy.

Friday, Jul 9: The Bob Bullock Museum will be hosting their first of a few Music Under the Stars concerts where there is a chance of free food and drinks from such vendors as Rudy's Barbecue, Mighty Fine Burgers, Blue Bell ice cream, and Sweet Leaf Tea. But you could just head to the East Austin Art Gallery Opening Show And After Party and take in some art and wine or beer.

Saturday, Jul 10: Aquapalooza? I have no idea if this thing is free if you have a boat or a floatie or can swim really well or WHAT the deal is, but just know up North he cops are going to be in full lock down mode they are bring in extra force to patrol the lake and lake area. SOFI Food Court Grand Opening is yet another trailer eatery in south Austin that is hosting their opening with free live music, games and inexpensive food (BYOB).

Wednesday, Jul 7: Every Wednesday at Galaxy Dance Studios, Coco Lectric, of the Jigglewatts, will be hosting Burlesque Classes fro the ladies. Come bring your heels and learn the classy way to drop it like it is hot for your man, or lady. If all the free bees and the burlesque classes sound a bit to femmie for you the you might be tough enough to attend the Campaign For Death Metal Purity Tour, being held at Beerland. If you come out with out a black eye or a neck cramp I think you might not be metal enough for this night.

♥ ABOUT ♥ ;

    You Glam and Poor is a blog dedicated to helping my posh yet broke socialites keep up with what is going on in Austin.

    I was tired of having to search tons of places to find complimentary events and also ones that might be worth diving into your wallet for. Thus Young, Glam, and Poor has got its start.
